This post is about the best huggie earrings.
Huggies are like the little sister of hoops.
They have come a long way from being just a circle of metal up against your lobe. Huggies have become a staple in my earring wardrobe because they look good in a single lobe piercing and dramatic in multiple piercings curving up the lobe. It gives good stack.
Designers have gotten so creative with huggies, with unique designs and shapes. And because of that, it’s that much more fun to easily change up your look.
I’ll be showing you my top 7 huggies I wear on constant rotation and the ones I get the most compliments on (which is always nice to hear!). I’ll share what makes these so special.

This post is your guide on huggie style earrings.
Missoma Celestial Pave Star Huggies
The geometry of this piece is brilliant. It’s like Missoma sliced an open star and twisted it to make something unique. I actually got stopped by a woman, while I was at Target, who wanted to compliment me on these earrings. Like the Stone and Strand, these Missoma earrings take into account the angles and curvature of your ears. You can wear them looping in towards the face, or away, so there is a left and right.
The metal is Sterling Silver and the stones are CZ, but unlike other silver earrings, these have not oxidized or turned black. The only polishing I do is wiping them with a jewelry cloth after I wear them and before I put them back into my organizer.

Mejuri 14k gold huggie: white gold
While this might go against what I said at the start of huggies not being a plain circle on the ear, this one from Mejuri is a fantastic start in simplicity and price for those who are going into 14k gold for the first time and looking for pieces on the more affordable side. They have yellow gold, but I do like this white gold because I sometimes need something that goes along with my other white gold, silver or platinum jewelry.

Aurate HUGGIES WITH bezel
If I could only wear one pair of huggies for the rest of my life, these would be it. It’s one of the best huggie earrings in my book for several reasons. The 14k gold gleam and has definitely withstood my sweat and active lifestyle. My favorite part is the dangle diamond bezel. It gives the impression of a charm that has movement and therefore the diamond reflection shimmers with the slightly turn of the head. But the craftsman ship is there. Seems so simple, yet it is refined with solid craftsmanship that lasts.

Stone and Strand Chain Reaction topaz huggies
Is it a huggie? Is it a dangle? It’s both. And it does both so well. The link cuts provide the shine. There is a diamond at the end, but it’s small so it doesn’t overpower the rest of the chain. What’s most impressive – but confused me at first – are the angles and mirror symmetry. First, the diamonds are shown only on one side, so there is an actual left and right. The diamonds face inward, but someone looking at you can still see them because of the way ears are angled and how piercings on the ear are also at a certain angle. And second, the dangle isn’t directly in the middle of the huggie. It’s actually shorter on the front. That’s because our ears aren’t exactly perpendicular and straight. There’s curvature, and therefore, the dangle accounts for that and hangs more visibly, rather than a bit back.

Missoma Pave Hex Huggies
Another Missoma Sterling Silver with CZ huggie that I love. These are my go-to on the silver-toned jewelry side. The hexagon shape gives an angularity and sharpness that contrasts with the soft curves of the ear. It’s one of the more versatile earrings that can compliment a more edgy look equally with a more conservative work style.

Ana Luisa Extra Pave Huggie Hoops Sonia and Mini Sonia
Want something that is noticeable on Zoom? These are it. Simple, gorgeous and can dress up or compliment any top while you wear sweats on the bottom. I’ve actually walked out to pick up lunch in a white T-shirt and sweatpants, and these earrings made me look put together and intentional.
Adornmonde gavin enamel 6-piece earring set
I love experimenting with different materials. These Adornmonde huggies are made of enamel and add color to your wardrobe and to your face. These pastel colors are great for spring and summer and are just so simple. I’ve had other enamel huggies where the enamel is too thin or the huggie itself is too tight. Like in Goldilocks, these are just right.
